Dubbing Workshop 3 W/ Evaluation

Evaluation
In this workshop i've added 3 types of music based on how the mood changes throughout the scene. The scene starts with Omar making an appearance by walking into the block and as it happens, the 1st sound track is being played. The soundtrack used is "Snoop Dogg - What's My Name". I used this as an audio track to signify the dominance of Omar's walk into the block whilst the kids are running away. The track used is a typical up-beat hip hop song which relates to the way the scene opens, with kids running on the estate that are mainly from the black minority. I feel like this was a good choice of sound to use for the opening seconds of the scene because it creates a particular mood that sets the exact environment that its set in.
The next soundtrack used was the conflict between Omar and the teenager. The track used was suspenseful and it was used in an effective way because Omar was sending life-threatening threats to the teenager if he didn't give back his possessions. The music starts off quiet and gradually gets louder until the teenager decides to drop the bag. As the teenager drops the bag, the suspenseful music is stopped immediately at the same time the bag makes a thud. This suspenseful music was also used to create further suspense of what the next move could have been from either 2.
The final sound track used was an instrumental version of Tupac's "California Love". This was used because it is a typical hip-hop beat which makes you remember that you're on the block full of an ethnic minority that has mild-strong references to drugs and weapons. This sound track was also used because it was upbeat and it signified that Omar has achieved what he came for.
With this workshop project i couldn't find any problems i wanted to fix. I am in love with this masterpiece.
