Dubbing Workshop

Evaluation For the voiceover workshop I had to write a script according to the scene i wanted to make a voiceover to. I chose "Omar's coming" to make a voice over to as it was short and simple to add my voice into it. Down below shows the script i made to record my voice to add to my chosen scene. As there were kids running in the scene, instead of just making a voice over for the main character, i also made a voiceover for the kids as well. My intentions of using more than one voiceover creates more tension in the scene. From where the kids run into the house is where i made a voiceover for them. The voiceover at that specific point after Omar starts threatening the kids, had been said in a petrifying tone. "Just give it to him". I've decided to include this in the voiceover because it gives the audience the idea that they are actually scared of Omar, however as there are more than one kid in the scene some would show a different feeling to the r

In this assignment i'm going to analysis 2 scenes from 2 different movies and 1 documentary that explains how sound and picture creates different moods within them. The 3 movies i'm going to be analysing are Children of Men, Kingsman & Stacey Dooley Investigates UK Kids Selling Drugs Documentary. The first scene from the first movie i'm going to analyse is Children of Men. This movie was released back in 2006 in the month of September (22nd). Children Of Men ~ Scene Analysis https://youtu.be/wCTgUq6hzUk Children of Men is an Action/Thriller film which was released in late 2006. The film also features a sub-genre of Sci-Fi as it has elements of products that look quite futuristic and also set in 2027. The movie starts off with a black background until we hear the first element of speech by two news reporters. The use of a black screen signifies that something bad/tragic has happened. This creates sudden tension for the audience as they don't know how exactly th

Case Study 2: Kingsman Scene Analysis

The scene i'm going to be analysing in Kingsman is the final bar scene. The scene starts with Non-Diegetic music and then it transitions to Diegetic music. The music that was being played was upbeat and it set a happy mood for the ending till the camera pans out of the tablet and on to Dean & Samantha. The dialogue starts with Dean asking Samantha to turn the music off as it is annoying him meanwhile Samantha doesn't reply but huffs and puffs. The Diegetic music starts to fade away as the camera pans out of the two until a voice is heard. "I rather like that song". Here instantly the audience are left surprised as Eggsy has returned to the same setting to where he was in the beginning with the Kingsman who fought for him. This is an act of foreshadowing as it is showing us what Eggsy is going to do to Dean and the other guys. Going back to the sound of the film, from the point where Eggsy makes a surprise visit, non-diegetic music fades in at 13 seconds of t

Children Of Men 2 Scenes Analysis

Image
2 Scene Analysis The movie begins with a black screen with news reporters reporting about the latest news and disasters that are happening. The use of this black screen creates tension for the audiences as they don't know what exactly is going to be shown next after this scene. For this scene any other colour could have been used by the director/producer but he decided to use black because it symbolises death, evil and mystery. Mystery is a good word to use as the audience would be wondering what is going on or about to happen in this film. The first visual scene of the film starts with a crowded shop full of people who are watching the news. Even though the cafe is crowded, there is an eerie silence as they watch the news on the youngest person in the world who got murdered. As this information is shown on the news there is also a piece of Diegetic music that slowly fades in to slowly catch the audiences' sympathy and emotions in the scene too. As much as there isn'
